# Resize a virtual machine

> Change virtual machine resource specifications

To resize a virtual machine it must be stopped first. Then choose **Resize** from the virtual machine list or details page. Select new vCPU and memory values and click **Resize virtual machine**. Start the virtual machine again after the change completes.
